University & Beyond

"Education is the key to unlock the golden door to freedom."

— George Washington Carver

Most Impact Hope students continue on to vocational skills training after high school, equipping them with practical tools for self-sufficiency and employment.
However, for a select group of exceptionally gifted students, vocational training is not enough. These students have the potential to become doctors, nurses, attorneys, pharmacists, IT professionals, and business leaders—roles that require a university education.

Each year, Impact Hope works to expand the number of university sponsorships available, helping our brightest students pursue higher education and reach their full potential.

In Sub-Saharan Africa:
  • 24 million girls can’t afford school.
  • A girl may marry as young as 13 and has a one in 22 chance of dying in childbirth.
  • One in six of her children will die before the age of five.
  • Launch businesses
  • Become health workers
  • Run schools

Access to education is a fundamental right, yet for many in Rwanda it remains a distant dream. Impact Hope believes in transforming lives through education by offering university sponsorships, whenever possible.By supporting a student's educational journey, you're not just investing in their future, you are paving the way for a more empowered generation, creating ripples of positive change across Rwandan communities.

Graduates from past years continue to ask if there are opportunities through Impact Hope for University support.

Our dream is that we can expand, so that more students can continue beyond high school. We are seeing the need more clearly, and with your support, we can respond more fully.

If you can’t sponsor a student, please consider supporting our University Assistance fund to empower more refugee youth to get a college education.
